Second and Third Order Adaptable Threshold for VAD in VoIP

چکیده
Reducing the lnternet trafic is a requirement to shpre the bandwidth wirh many sessions. When circuit switched applications are ported on to the Inferner, bandwidth saving becomes all rhe more prominent. An eficienr adaptable tltreslrold V . (Voice Activiry Detection) for Voice over IP s-ystems are presented in rhispaper. The discussion includes two energy-based algorithm with higher order threshold iefreshirig schemes. The petj6rmance of afl the schemes nrepresented, rhe resulrs bring out clearly the usefulness of rhe schemes for VoIP applications with saving in bandwidth.

Developing Fuzzy Models for Estimating the Quality of VoIP
This paper presents a novel method for modeling the one-way quality prediction of VoIP, non-intrusively. Intrusive measures of voice quality suffer from common deficiency that is the need of reference signal for evaluating the quality of voice. Owing to this lack, a great deal of effort has been recently devoted for modeling voice quality prediction non-intrusively according to quality degradat...
متن کاملComparison of voice activity detection algorithms for VoIP
We discuss techniques for Voice Activity Detection (VAD) for Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). VAD aids in saving bandwidth requirement of a voice session thereby increasing the bandwidth efficiently. In this paper, we compare the quality of speech, level of compression and computational complexity for three time-domain and three frequency-domain VAD algorithms. Implementation of time-domain...
متن کاملVAD for VoIP Using Cepstrum
As telephony services are being supported on Internet the focus is now on multiplexing many speech streams by exploiting the speech characteristics. The multiplexing gain is an important factor when applications such as teleconference service are ported on to the Internet. Here we discuss Voice Activity Detection (VAD) for Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) based on Cepstrum. VAD aids in savin...

-Steganography is the hiding of a secret message within an ordinary message and the extraction of secret message at its destination. In digital steganography, electronic communications may include steganographic coding inside of a transport layer, such as a document file, image file, program or protocol. This paper describes how to segregate the audio that are streaming in the Voice over Intern...
متن کاملVAD Techniques for Real-Time Speech Transmission on the Internet
We discuss techniques for Voice Activity Detection (VAD) for Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). VAD aids in reducing bandwidth requirement of a voice session thereby using bandwidth efficiently. Such a scheme would be implemented in the application Layer. Thus the VAD is independent of the lower layers in the network stack [3]. In this paper, we compare four time-domain VAD algorithms in term...
